This Michigan Axe has a ground polished butt end, or poll, for even distribution of striking force when used for occasional light hammering of wood or plastic. The handle is a 34" solid core fiberglass handle with a thick molded poly jacket for maximum strength, longer service life, less breakage from overstrikes and dampening of striking vibrations.
